Diploma Project
For decades, Oslo has relied on temporary, modular units to meet kindergarten capacity demands. These modules are now vacant — obsolete structures awaiting demolition.
This diploma argues that these vacant buildings could hold potential of becoming meaningful alternatives: community kindergartens that are rooted in place rather than interchangeable. The project transforms a 1968 wardrobe pavilion at Ekeberg into a kindergarten for Atriet Barnehage.
